IMS Library Video Resources

The IMS Library video tutorials have been created to provide a resource of step-by-step instruction for IMS Library Users. The following tutorials cover a number of features and tasks within the IMS Library. If you are unable to find what you need, please contact imssupport@the-bac.edu

 

Login Page
This tutorial covers the IMS Library Login Page. Topics covered in this tutorial include, how to navigate to the IMS Library, how to login, how to contact your IMS Library Administrator, and using event listings. 

 

Home Page
This tutorial goes over the Home Page of the IMS Library. Topics covered in this tutorial include main features such as lightboxes, left hand navigation, searching, folders and more. 

 

File Console
This tutorial goes over the File Console page in the IMS Library. This is a general overview of the File Console and the features available on this page, such as the film strip, preview image, tool features, metadata and more.

 

Searching
This tutorial covers different methods of searching in the IMS Library. Topics covered include the general search box, advanced search, smart folders and refine search. 

 

Lightboxes
This tutorial covers working with Lightboxes in the IMS Library. Topics covered in this tutorial include how to create a lightbox, managing your lightboxes and sharing your lightboxes.

 

Downloading
This tutorial covers downloading files from the IMS Library. Topics covered include requesting downloads, download categories, single click downloads, download wizard and more.

 

Uploading
This tutorial covers how to upload files in the IMS Library. Topics covered include using the browser uploader tool, the desktop uploader tool, file transfer protocol (FTP) and more.
