The Landscape Institute

The Landscape Institute offers courses, workshops, and special programs in landscape design, stewardship, history, horticulture, sustainability, and preservation. Our mission is to provide a broad understanding of the natural and cultural influences that shape the designed and built environment to prepare students for leadership in landscape design, stewardship, and preservation action.

Fall 2015 Landscape Institute Certificate Courses and Equivalencies

As of August, 2014, The Landscape Institute (LI) is no longer housed within the department of Professsional and Continuing Education and is now administered by the School of Landscape Architecture. New students are not currently being accepted into the certificate program, but courses remain open to the public for their enjoyment and education.

Congratulations to recent LI landscape design graduate Ruth Riske for being elected the incoming president of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD). APLD is a great resource and network group for landscape designers. 

Congratulations to LI/Radcliffe graduate Arleyn Levee, who was made an honorary member of the ASLA in recognition for her contributions to landscape design history.
