Introduction to College Algebra (Math 1) provides a basic mathematical literacy in preparation for College Algebra and Trigonometry (Math 2.) Architecture students are not required to take this course, but those who cannot show a recent history of strong performance in college-level mathematics are well-advised to do so prior to taking Math 2. Material covered in this course includes the essential mathematical skills needed to solve linear equations, systems of equations and quadratic equations, graphs and their analysis, formula solving, problem solving and other applications.
