"Anywhere I hang my hat..." In the Residential Design Studio students consider the wide range of environments in which people reside, including houses, apartments, dormitories, assisted living complexes and communes. Students are challenged to respond to the physical context (urban/suburban/rural) as well as residents' lifestyles (extended family/home-office/empty nesters) in their designs, culminating in a project or projects which reach a maximum of 5,000 square feet. There is a research paper required pertaining to an aspect of interest in a project or projects.
