BID: Human Factors & Codes

TM840

This course examines both individual human needs and society's legal response to those needs as they impact the design of interior space and furnishings. Human factors include anthropometrics and ergonomics; social factors include governmental laws, codes, zoning, standards and regulations. Areas of overlap include universal accessibility guidelines, ADAG (Americans With Disability Act Guidelines), life safety and fire codes.
