P&CE Student Loans
In striving to accommodate the changing needs of our students, all BAC Professional & Continuing Education students are now eligible to use loans to help fund their studies. "Private" or "Alternative" loans change from lender to lender, so it is important to research a number of options to see which one works best for you.
Check http://www.finaid.org/loans/privatestudentloans.html for a list of banks that will help finance your P&CE courses at the BAC.
The loan process takes time, so in order to secure your loan for upcoming classes all students are strongly encouraged to apply with their lender of choice a month before the start of classes. Students who apply for loans after those dates or would like to secure their seat in class at an earlier time must pay for classes with a credit card to be refunded upon receipt of the loan. For any questions please contact BAC financial aid at 617-585-0125 or the P&CE Department at 617-585-0101.
Tuition Pay Plan
Students enrolled in certificate programs will be able to spread their tuition payments over two months through the TuitionPay Plan. This plan, administrated through Sallie Mae, is not a loan, so there are no interest payments. Currently there is an application fee of $35.
The plan applies to both 1.5 and 3.0 credit courses. To set up a TuitionPay Plan account, students should visit tuitionpay.salliemae.com.
Please note: Students wishing to take advantage of this payment plan will not be able to register for courses online. Course registration will only be accepted in person, by mail, fax, or phone. For complete details regarding this program, please contact the Professional & Continuing Education department at 617-585-0101.
