Application Requirements for the BAC's low-residency online Design For Human Health Masters degree:

Essay
Please submit an essay of approximately 500-750 words, 12pt font, Times New Roman, with 1 inch margins addressing the following:

  • Reflect upon your past educational and professional experience and describe what you hope to gain from the Masters of Design Studies in Design for Human Health. Please include any particular insights, skills, or approaches that you will bring to your masters studies. Describe why you are interested in design for human health and how a master's degree might foster your future aspirations. Please provide specific details.

International Students
International students may complete the MDS by continuing to live in their home country and travelling to Boston for short learning intensives during the program. Please see additional international student requirements here

To apply to the Master of Design Studies in Design For Human Health, applicants must complete an admissions file, which will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee to determine eligibility and acceptance into the program. There are a limited number of seats available and acceptance is selective. Applicants may apply for either a fall (August) or a spring (January) term start. Applicants are encouraged to complete their applications by the priority application deadline for a given term in order to be considered for admission. The Admission Committee will review all applications subsequent to this deadline after which acceptance is on a space available basis.
