This spring's Advanced Kitchen Studio's final project was based on a true story, provided by instructor Leslie-jon-Vickory. Students were asked, as independent designers, to specify cabinetry for both the kitchen and butler's pantry to be built by a custom mill shop.
The client profile: A single woman with a 15 year old daughter who is well known in the banking industry and recently took over the management of a larger regional bank. She is well traveled, entertains a lot, but very unfamiliar with the design industry on any level!
Through an in class lottery, each student was tasked to design in a different style, including a coastal community, classical, Federal, rustic and colonial revival.
Here are some images from their class presentations of floor plans, elevations and materials.
