Thesis & Degree Projects
Landscape Architecture Thesis & Degree Projects are independent projects where students individually investigate topics of interest with respect to spatial design, community, neighborhood improvements, urban renewal, revitalization, and sustainable design principles. Through independent scholarly research, readings, criticism, weekly meetings, and the guidance of a faculty advisor, students define their project scope and trajectory. This path of inquiry joins modes of learning, working, and thinking associated with academic work and work in practice. This work culminates in a landscape architectural project that is a demonstration of the student's readiness and capacity to engage responsibly and creatively in the profession of landscape architecture.
