The Boston Architectural College is pleased to announce that Angela Nteta has been promoted to Director of Design Services at CURRIER & Associates, Inc. (CAI). Angela graduated from the BAC with a Bachelor of Interior Design.
When the talented and experienced designer joined the design team at CAI in 2012 as Senior Project Designer, her broad background in design, along with significant team development and project management experience were immediately applied to her first project, an assisted living and senior memory care residence in Milford, MA.
The CAI design goal for senior living facilities is to create atmospheres that are first and foremost inviting and enriching environments, with design elements that are warm and comforting, like a home. Angela's perspective is that health care and senior living projects give her the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Her work demonstrates a keen insight for designing spaces and using colors, materials, and furnishings that will create a positive experience for the people who live and work in these spaces.
CAI President Sharon Currier acknowledged Angela's remarkable ability to mentor during the process of bringing other designers on board the team. "Her professionalism is highlighted by the value she places on consistent and open project team and client communications, making her a perfect fit with CAI's values. Angela's skill in representing the unique values of clients is a quality we regard highly," said Sharon Currier, "because it adds to the pursuit a positive experience for each client working with CAI."
Angela is on the forefront of designing the Avita Newburyport project, a new senior memory care residence to be built in Newburyport, MA. Angela and the CAI team are excited to be working with a respected and well-known project team of an experienced developer, owner/managers and architects for the project.
Projects in Angela's varied portfolio include sophisticated hospitality clients, such as Hyatt Regency, Marriot, Hilton and Sheraton hotels, along with well-known corporate, healthcare and institutional clients such as Fidelity Investments and a Dorfman Jewelers/Van Cleef and Arpels Boutique. Angela earned her Bachelor's degree in Interior Design at Boston Architectural College. Previous employers were J. Brice Design International, Arrowstreet, Klaus Fuchs Design and HVS Compass.
