David M Foxe is trained in architecture, research, and music.  He is a registered architect in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts who practices at Safdie Architects and has over a decade of experience in all phases of architectural design and digital documentation for new construction and preservation. He has published, taught, and lectured widely in the US, UK, and Europe on design and education topics, and served as the editorial director and coauthor of the structural design textbook Form and Forces (Wiley, 2009). He holds undergraduate degrees in architectural design and music composition from MIT, a professional Master of Architecture degree from MIT, and also earned a research degree from Clare College, Cambridge University as a UK Marshall Scholar. In 2014 David joined the board of directors of the New England chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians.
