Matt Gilman, Master of Landscape Architecture
Matthew Gilman is a Master of Landscape Architecture candidate at the BAC. As an undergraduate he attended Kenyon College where he received a Bachelor's degree in Art History. Matt has always had a strong interest in outdoor spaces. He worked for six years as an outdoor educator for various programs both domestically and abroad. He found it was his love of art and the outdoors that led him to landscape architecture.
Matt served as President for the BAC's Student American Society of Landscape Architects (SASLA) from 2009-2012. Some of his favorite moments since starting at the BAC primarily relate back to a studio project. Matt enjoys that after many weeks of hard work, ideas finally gel and the project comes together and forms a whole.
Matt's practice work includes being a gardener for D. Schumacher Landscaping, Inc. where he worked on high-end residential and commercial properties. Currently, he is a garden designer at Winston Flowers.
