Nicole Gaenzler

Nicole Gaenzler joined The Boston Architectural College in Fall 2015 as faculty in the School of Landscape Architecture where she teaches design foundation and advanced interdisciplinary studios. Educated as an architect and a landscape architect, Nicole brings a strong interest in interdisciplinarity to both her teaching and her design work. Prior to joining the BAC, Nicole worked for more than 10 years with distinguished design firms in the Boston area including Reed|Hilderbrand, Martha Schwartz Partners, and Sasaki Associates, as well as Peter Zumthor's architecture studio in Switzerland.

Her professional work encompasses institutional, planning, corporate, and urban design projects throughout the United States and South America. As faculty at the BAC, Nicole continues to explore the intrinsic relationship between landscape and architecture, and their dialogue with art and other disciplines. She shares her passion for the profession and her strong belief in the transformational power of landscape architecture.

Nicole is a registered landscape architect who holds a professional degree in architecture ("Diplom Ingenieur für Architektur") from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany, and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design.
