Nina Chase is an enthusiastic, emerging Landscape Architect in Boston, MA, and a recent graduate of West Virginia University and Harvard's Graduate School of Design.
Trained as a Landscape Architect with a vested interest in landscape urbanism, Nina's graduate and professional work has focused on how to design cities to be economically successful, ecologically productive, and aesthetically exciting. As a graduate student, Nina focused on making room for water in urban contexts. Nina designed for sea level rise in New York City and envisioned an experimental stormwater treatment district along the Chicago River in Chicago. Her graduate work along the Chicago River received a 2012 American Society of Landscape Architects Student Honor Award and a 2013 Boston Society of Landscape Architects Honor Award.
Nina is currently a Landscape Architect at Sasaki Associates in Boston, MA, where she is researching the effects of sea level rise on Boston. She also serves as the Chair of the Boston Society of Landscape Architects Emerging Professionals Committee.
