Ruthie Kuhlman, a Massachusetts native, is in the Master of Architecture program. Ruthie chose to start her education as an Academic Only Program (AOP) student. She is a member of AIAS and was a tutor at the LRC (Learning Resource Center) during her first semester. . She has served as a Student Ambassador, welcoming students during New Student Orientation.

Ruthie comes to the BAC with a background in Mechanical Engineering, a field which she studied at Rice University in Houston. After graduating with her bachelor's degree, she moved on to work for an energy company in Houston, managing the design of engineering systems for offshore oil fields for three years before deciding to come to the BAC.

Ruthie was a participant in the Summer 2011 trip abroad to Spain, an experience which she found very enlightening. She was a project manager for a Gateway Project serving a church in Dorchester, MA where her group presented their design for a multi-functional social hub. Seeing the congregation members excitement and appreciation reinforced why Ruthie is seeking a degree in Architecture.

Ruthie is currently a Design Coordinator at ADD Inc.
