Sara Bourque is a Master of Landscape Architecture candidate at the BAC. Sara came the BAC in 2008 as a continuing education student enrolled in the Planting Design program looking for a career change. Sara graduated from the Planting Design program in 2010 and became one of the first Master of Landscape Architecture students at the BAC.
Sara took a a school problem from studio, the assignment was to study a public space, she used the Rowley Common to study. The Great Marsh Garden Club asked Sara to make a presentation to the club about her findings. This presentation lead to the development of a committee to do a historic re design of the Rowley Common that includes new trees. The Proposal has gone before the selectmen and the Community Preservation Committee where it received positive votes to continue forward. The proposal was also voted on at a Town Meeting.
Sara is a leader and was elected the Vice President of the BAC's SASLA (American Society of Landscape Architects Student Chapter) organization for 2012-2013.
