Clare Walker Leslie

Clare Walker Leslie is a professional wildlife artist, naturalist, and educator. She is a nationally-recognized author and teacher. Both Nature Drawing: A Tool for Learning and Keeping A Nature Journal are used widely as standard texts on drawing and observing nature. For over thirty years, she has taught drawing garden landscapes in classrooms across the country. Her Nature Journaling work is being used by Jane Goodall's "Roots and Shoots" programs around the world. Clare lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Granville, Vermont, where she has her own active gardens. She earned her bachelor of arts from Carleton College and studied wildlife drawing in Europe. More

V. Michael Weinmayr

V. Michael Weinmayr, age 74, of Somerville and Lexington, died on December 17, 2012 after a lengthy struggle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was the principal of Weinmayr Jay Associates Landscape Architects, was honored as a Fellow of the ASLA, and was a co-author of “Frederick Law Olmsted, Sr: Founder of Landscape Architecture in America”. More

Jaime Wilson

Jaime Wilson has shared her passion for art and architecture of the ancient world with students for almost a decade. In 2005, Jaime brought her love and knowledge of ancient architecture to the BAC. As part of her courses taught at the BAC, students explore the rich social and political context within architecture. Jaime and her students have traveled to Greece, where they study first-hand the political and social motivations for the preserving and restoring of ancient buildings. Jaime received dual bachelor degrees in classical studies and art history from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, with an emphasis on Mediterranean archaeology. More
