James Brown is a Bachelor of Design Studies candidate at the BAC with a double concentration in Sustainable Design and Historic Preservation at the Boston Architectural College.

Originally from a small town in Indiana, James began designing intricate homes and castles with Legos. From there, he developed an interest in floor plans and architecture. So, as early as elementary school, he knew that he wanted to be an Architect.

Travel has been an important part of life for James, enabling him to personally see and better understand various architectural styles as well as engage with various cultures. His most recent accomplishment was being accepted to and participating in a semester at the KCP International School in Japan, which enables him to get closer to achieving his goal of moving to Japan to become an Architect in the future.

When James describes his most positive experience at the BAC, he states, "the overall atmosphere of the school itself - everyone is so close and helpful that they feel like family."

James serves as Secretary of NOMAS (2013-2015) and is also a member of AIAS.
