Professional Staff

Liz Stuhlsatz (Manager) has taught Research Writing at the BAC and tutored in the Learning Resource Center for several years. She received her Master's in English Literature at UMass-Boston. She likes Monty Python, and she is a competitive powerlifter chasing a 250-pound deadlift for her next meet.

Andrew Dugan (Writing Consultant) is a New England native and taught high school English in Plymouth, MA for nine years. He holds a BA from Roger Williams University and a MA from Bridgewater State University, both in English Literature. Currently, he is an instructor in the First Year Writing Program and a writing consultant at Emerson College where he is pursuing an MFA in creative writing. When not engaged in teaching or academics, he coaches and teaches tennis in the Massachusetts area.

Stephanie Kolberg (Writing Consultant) is a Californian who recently arrived in Boston via Austin, Tampa, and Dallas. She has a PhD in American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, where she focused on space and place, and the aesthetics of consumer culture. She teaches first-year writing at the BAC and Boston University. She likes road trips and running.

Chelsea Ursin (Writing Consultant) holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts Lowell where she also studied Sound Recording Technology, Biology, and English. She has worked as a research and writing intern for the WGBH program NOVA. She is currently a Creative Writing MFA candidate at Emerson College. Her proposed thesis is a book that will combine memoir and research to examine the intersections of feminist theory and rock and roll. She is also planning on pursuing a professional helicopter pilot's license (as soon as she finds the time and money).
