Professional Staff

Liz Stuhlsatz (Manager) has taught Research Writing at the BAC and tutored in the Learning Resource Center for several years. She received her Master's in English Literature at UMass-Boston. She likes Monty Python, plays a mean game of backgammon, and she is a competitive powerlifter chasing a 250-pound deadlift for her next meet.

Chris Poole (Writing Consultant) holds a BA in English and Russian from Sewanee: the University of the South, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College, where he also teaches introductory writing courses. When he is not writing or waxing philosophical about the power of writing, he likes to take advantage of the limited Boston sunshine in one of the many exceptional local parks.

John Taylor (Writing Consultant) holds a BA in English with an emphasis in Writing from Whitworth University (Spokane, WA). He is currently an MFA candidate for poetry at Emerson College where he teaches First Year Writing and works in the Writing and Academic Resource Center. He serves as the poetry editor for Redivider and the senior poetry reader at Ploughshares.

Chelsea Ursin (Writing Consultant) holds an M.F.A in Creative Writing from Emerson College and a B.A in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She currently teaches Public Speaking at Newbury College. She has published essays and short stories and is working toward the completion of her first creative non-fiction book. She is also a performing musician and songwriter and volunteers for the Girls Rock Campaign Boston organization.
