The BAC's curriculum and practice based education creates real work experiences. To achieve this experience, the BAC offers a wide range of industry standard and cutting edge technology to create an educational experience that will support both students' academic and work based projects.
Available resources include high-performance computing - available on any of the 100+ lab machines, 3D physical production with laser cutters, CNC router, and 3D Printers, large format printing and scanning, and render farm based node rendering. For those wishing to expand on these foundational technical skills, the Computation Design Research Lab or CO/DE/R lab has an extensive array of software packages and technologies that are available to all students.
Located on the 4th floor of 320 Newbury Street, the computing labs are available to students whenever the building is open. The labs are maintained by our Technology Resource group: helpdesk technicians, and application support specialists. The application specialists are well versed in the software programs used in coursework and assist in the educational process. Our goal is to provide the students and faculty with the tools and support that will result in the best educational experience and outcomes possible.
