Mark Walsh-Cooke is a principal in Arup’s Boston office with over 30 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, analysis, and construction. He attended University in Dundee, Scotland where he studied mechanical engineering. He has worked internationally in Arup’s Sydney and London offices prior to joining the Boston office where he leads the Commercial Property Business.
He is responsible for managing multi-disciplinary project teams and designing a range of building services systems. These include offices, courthouses, concert halls, commercial life science buildings, art galleries, museums and a wide range of academic buildings including residence halls and engineering buildings. Mark has particular experience in sustainable, health and wellness, zero net energy, and environmentally responsible design; enhancing the performance of both new and existing buildings.
Mark is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies/MA, the MA Zero Net Energy Advisory Committee and an affiliate member of the Boston Society of Architects.
