Daniel Bass has practiced as an architect for over thirty years, in Texas, London, Haiti, and Boston. His portfolio of work is very diverse, including transportation and infrastructure, public housing and other public-bid work, churches, and even a zoo! He is a Senior Associate with BAKER | WOHL ARCHITECTS, where he has been employed since 2003.

Daniel has taught at the BAC since 2004, first with freshman drawing courses and then beginning in about 2006 in the Thesis Department. He thrives on guiding students through the comprehensive building design process.

His own training began with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Texas Tech University in 1983, out on the flat plains of West Texas. After obtaining professional registration in 1986, Daniel moved to London for post graduate studies in architectural history and theory at the Architectural Association.
Daniel met his wife in London and stayed to practice architecture there for a few years. After the recession of the late 1980s, he returned with his wife to Texas, and then in 2001 he moved up to Boston to practice.
Daniel and Elizabeth reside in Kingston with their four children and are active in South Shore Baptist Church in Hingham.

Daniel holds a Graduate Diploma in History and Theory of Architecture from the Architectural Association, London, UK, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University.
