Daniel Weissman

Dan Weissman, AIA, Assc. IALD, is an Associate and Director of Lam Labs at Lam Partners. A registered architect, Dan has over 10 years experience in architectural lighting, currently leading the firm's endeavors in digital technologies, daylighting, and academic engagement. Dan is also as co-founder of the academically oriented web project ‘Section Cut,' and a member of Faculty at the Boston Architectural College. He regularly guest lectures across the Boston area architectural institutions.

Dan currently teaches Sustainable Systems 1 at the BAC, which introduces students to an approach to bioclimatic design and solar energy as architectural formgiver. He previously developed and taught the course on site and now teaches for the online M.Arch. He has taught both foundation and advanced architectural studios, Gateway projects, and lighting design for the interiors and architecture departments at the BAC. He has also taught Daylighting at Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Dan earned a Master of Design Studies from Harvard Graduate School of Design in 2012. In addition, Dan holds a Master in Architecture from University of Michigan (2010), a BA in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis (2005), and a Certificate in Design Education from the BAC (2008). He is an accomplished woodcut artist and mandolinist, and lives in Cambridge MA with his wife Lanie and son Max.
