Professional Staff

Liz Stuhlsatz (Manager) has taught Research Writing at the BAC and tutored in the Learning Resource Center for several years. She received her Master's in English Literature at UMass-Boston. She likes Monty Python, plays a mean game of backgammon, and she is a competitive powerlifter chasing a 250-pound deadlift for her next meet.

Anna Sims (Writing Tutor) holds degrees in English and Journalism from Boston University and received her MFA in creative writing from Emerson College, where she currently teaches writing courses. She is a former associate editor at The Warren Group. When she's not reading or writing, she enjoys traveling, playing tennis, practicing yoga, and watching elephants at the zoo.

Palak Patel (Writing Tutor) holds a B.A. in English and Religion from Vassar College and an M.A. in Publishing and Writing from Emerson College, where she wrote her thesis on comic books. Her time is split between reading, writing and watching movies.

Chelsea Ursin (Writing Tutor) holds an M.F.A in Creative Writing from Emerson College and a B.A in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She currently teaches Public Speaking at Newbury College. She has published essays and short stories and is working toward the completion of her first creative non-fiction book. She is also a performing musician and songwriter and volunteers for the Girls Rock Campaign Boston organization.
Brenna Donovan (Writing Tutor) holds a BA in Communication and Rhetoric from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. She is currently an MA candidate in the Publishing and Writing program at Emerson College, where she also teaches writing to first year students. She likes to read and write about food, interesting women, and pop culture, and is particularly happy when the three of those intersect. When she's not busy convincing her landlord to let her get a dog, she can often be found exploring the city and spending as much time outside as humanly possible.
