Professional Staff

Liz Stuhlsatz (Manager) has taught Research Writing at the BAC and tutored in the Learning Resource Center for several years. She received her Master's in English Literature at UMass-Boston. She likes Monty Python, plays a mean game of backgammon, and she is a competitive powerlifter chasing a 250-pound deadlift for her next meet.

Chris Poole (Writing Consultant) holds a BA in English and Russian from Sewanee: the University of the South, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College, where he also teaches introductory writing courses. When he is not writing or waxing philosophical about the power of writing, he likes to take advantage of the limited Boston sunshine in one of the many exceptional local parks.

Carly Youssouf (Writing Consultant) holds a B.A in Creative Writing and Literature from Eckerd College in Florida. She is currently an MFA candidate in Creative Writing at Emerson College, where she teaches creative writing in the EmersonWRITES program and works as a writing consultant at the Writing and Academic Resource Center. When she's not reading, writing or editing, she can be found on a mountain or a beach enjoying the sunshine and good view.

Chelsea Ursin (Writing Consultant) holds an M.F.A in Creative Writing from Emerson College and a B.A in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She currently teaches Public Speaking at Newbury College. She has published essays and short stories and is working toward the completion of her first creative non-fiction book. She is also a performing musician and songwriter and volunteers for the Girls Rock Campaign Boston organization.
Angela Siew (Writing Consultant) holds a BA in American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College, where she also worked as a Graduate Writing Consultant. A former private tutor and English language instructor, she loves to travel and learn languages.
