    Professional Staff

Liz Stuhlsatz (Manager) has taught Research Writing at the BAC and tutored in the Learning Resource Center for several years. She received her Master's in English Literature at UMass-Boston. She likes Monty Python, plays a mean game of backgammon, and she is a competitive powerlifter chasing a 250-pound deadlift for her next meet.

Dorothy Clark (Writing Tutor) is editorial services manager at Historic New England and editor of the organization's member magazine, Historic New England. She also teaches history in Liberal Studies at the BAC. Dorothy holds a Master of Design Studies in Historic Preservation from the Boston Architectural College, a master's in American History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a bachelor's degree in journalism/English, also from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dorothy worked for many years as a newspaper reporter and then as a copy editor at the Boston Herald and the Boston Globe, where she also wrote feature stories as well as music and book reviews.

Erin Jones  (Writing Tutor) received her MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College, where she now teaches writing courses. She is the author of the YA novel Tinfoil Crowns (Flux Books, 2019) and her short work has appeared in The James Franco Review, Rock & Sling, and other publications. She is the former head of marketing at Ploughshares and a regular contributor to the Ploughshares Blog. Currently, she is the editor-in-chief of The Platform Review. When she's not writing or reading, she enjoys pet sitting, watching horror movies, and pretending she knows how to cook.

Nehal Mubarak (Writing Tutor) is a third-year MFA candidate in creative writing at Emerson College. She teaches writing studies in Emerson's Writing, Literature and Publishing department and has also taught creative writing. Originally from Dallas, TX, Nehal can now be found wandering around Boston and helplessly looking for a café that isn't crowded with tourists or irate college students so she can write her book in peace.
