Trustee Emeritus Charles Redmon, FAIA, Hon'08, has served the BAC for decades. Beginning as an instructor in the late 60's, Chuck went on to make major contributions to the College as a member and chair of the Board of Trustees. During his time on the Board, he served on the Education Committee, the Student Development Committee, and the Institutional Advancement Committee.

Chuck's dedication to the BAC is philosophically driven to improve and expand the education of design professionals. Chuck has been practicing architecture for nearly 50 years, almost entirely with Cambridge Seven Associates. He has been active within the national AIA and Boston Society of Architects (BSA) for 40 years. He has served as the co-chair and chair of the AIA's R/UDAT program for 35 years and has been active in local issues focusing on urban design in Boston.

He has worked across the USA and internationally on major civic, commercial, institutional, educational and transportation projects. Much of his recent work has been in Kuwait. He has consulted on planning and urban design in Canada, UK, Scotland, Germany, Kuwait, and the former Yugoslavia.

Nationally, Mr. Redmon is a winner of the AIA's Kemper award for service to the profession and community. He was also awarded the 2002 BSA Honor award, which is the BSA's highest award recognizing individuals who have made profound and significant contributions to the professional community. In April of 2013, the BAC Alumni Association bestowed on him the Selfless Labor Award.
