Denise Rush, FASID, IIDA, IDEC, is the dean of Interior Architecture at the Boston Architectural College. Denise is a registered/licensed interior designer and a NCIDQ certificate holder. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in interior design from Michigan State University and her Master of Science in nonprofit management from Spertus Institute of Jewish Leadership in Chicago. Prior to joining the faculty, Denise was adjunct faculty in the interior architecture program at Columbia College Chicago. Her professional practice was spent as the visiting interior designer at the University of Illinois—Urbana Champaign, a director and project manager in the offices of international firms Perkins + Will in Chicago and the SmithGroup in Detroit, and head of interior design at the regional firm of TowerPinkster in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Her project work encompasses several practice areas: commercial office, education, healthcare, and residential. The scope and location of the projects range from small to large scale and local to international.
