Originally from Kuwait, Fanan brings a cross-cultural perspective to her architecture practice, with experience working in both the Middle East and the United States Early in her career, she interned at Alshayji Engineering Consultancy Office, where she contributed to the Thuluth Pavilion project at Kuwait University and participated in the Green Wall Initiative - an effort to introduce landscape infrastructure along Kuwait’s borders.

Fanan earned her Bachelor of Architecture with Practice Distinction from The Boston Architectural College in 2024. During her time at the BAC, she was active in the student community, serving as a Student Ambassador, Gateway Fellow, and holding leadership roles in NOMAS, AIAS, and BAC Cultural.

Professionally, she has worked on residential, institutional, and cultural projects through her work at LR Designs Inc., UDA Architects, and Northeastern University’s In-House Design Department. Her focus has included design development, visualization, and community-centered approaches.

Fanan is actively involved in design education, particularly with high school and pre-college students. She served as a Teaching Assistant for the BAC’s Summer Academy from 2020 to 2023 and for the Urban Design Pre-College Program (UDP) in 2023. In 2024 and 2025, she returned as Program Coordinator and Instructor, leading workshops for the UDP, a program sponsored by the Boston Planning Department and the BAC. Fanan also collaborates with the Sasaki Foundation as a recurring guest lecturer and workshop partner, supporting equity-focused design programming for youth.
