Jessica Yuan, AIA, CPHC, has taught at BAC since 2022 and joined full-time in 2025 as the Director of Intermediate Studios, directing Architecture Studios 2 and 3 as well as the structures sequence. Jessica is a licensed architect and Certified Passive House Consultant with work experience in affordable and sustainable multi-family housing. She has worked with the Boston Department of Neighborhood Development as a Community Service Fellow through the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies, and has practiced at various firms, including Utile and Apicella + Bunton Architects.
Jessica earned her Master of Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, her MFA in Poetry from the Johns Hopkins Writing Seminars, and her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Yale University. She is the author of the books Slow Render (Airlie 2024), winner of the Airlie Prize, and Threshold Amnesia (Yemassee 2020), winner of the Yemassee Chapbook Contest. Jessica has taught at Wentworth Institute of Technology and at Johns Hopkins, where she developed interdisciplinary curricula as an Alexander Grass Humanities Institute Fellow.
