Katia Lucic, AIA, LEED AP, is an Associate Principal at Leers Weinzapfel Associates. Previously, she was a principal at Sasaki Associates, an international interdisciplinary planning and design firm providing consulting and design services in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Urban Design, Civil Engineering, and Interior Design in Watertown, MA.

Katia holds a master of architecture from McGill University and a graduate architectural engineer degree from the University of Zagreb, Croatia.

As an architect with over 20 years of experience in architecture, interior design, planning, and urban design, Katia has collaborated on a wide range of architectural projects-learning environments, housing, student life, performance venues, and religious spaces. Katia's work focuses on design and implementation with particular attention to detailing and materiality. Her work is characterized by strong integration within the surroundings and she consistently explores opportunities in the transition zones between the buildings and open spaces. Her designs are direct extensions of broader master planning efforts and a deep understanding of the unique circumstances and goals of each client.

Katia is a member of the Boston Society of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Katia holds a master of architecture from McGill University and a graduate architectural engineer degree from the University of Zagreb, Croatia.
