Kevin Sullivan is vice president of Shawmut Design and Construction and a member of the company's Executive Leadership Team and Safety Executive Steering Committee. A life-long Boston area resident, Kevin worked residential construction jobs in his youth, developing a passion for the construction industry. He went on to Wentworth Institute of Technology where he earned his B.S. in Building Construction and Technology.
Since that time, Kevin has established himself as a leader in the industry with the proven ability to expertly guide teams from master planning and preconstruction processes, through project completion and beyond. Throughout his 25-year career at Shawmut, Kevin was promoted from Assistant Project Manager to Vice President. He has built lasting relationships with many Boston-area companies and institutions as a result of his range of expertise across numerous project challenges across educational, healthcare, commercial, and cultural and historic projects. As a long-term veteran on academic sites, Kevin has developed a strong sense of planning and managing complex construction around the constraints of the occupied campus.
In addition to this role as an Overseer for the BAC, Kevin is currently a Board Member of the Room to Dream Foundation, a charity that creates healing environments in hospitals, communities, and homes for children and adolescents who are facing chronic illnesses. He also is an active member of Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
