Peter Vanderwarker is an architectural and editorial photographer. His work has been published internationally in books and in magazines, has been supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Graham Foundation, and has received Institute Honors from the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Peter travels and exhibits his photography extensively, establishing a worldwide presence. Recent exhibitions include shows in New York and Boston, and upcoming photo shoots include projects in Rwanda, Africa and Hangzhou, China.
Peter has long been connected to the Boston Architectural College. From 1973-1976, he was Director of Thesis Program and architectural design instructor in the School of Architecture. Before joining the BAC faculty, he was a documentary film producer at the University of California's Institute of Urban and Regional Development.
Peter volunteers as a visual arts instructor at Codman Academy Charter School in Boston and has served on the board of directors for the Bostonian Society, Revels, Inc., and Boston Natural Areas Network. He attended Harvard University Graduate School of Design as a Loeb Fellow and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of California.
