Sarah Howard
Special Assistant to the President for Program Development Strategy | MDS-SD'21

Sarah Howard, MDS-SD'21, works closely with members of BAC's leadership team. In support of our BAC to the Future strategic plan, Sarah leads the development of frameworks, policies and procedures for new matriculated and non-matriculated programs in collaboration with constituents within the College's faculty and staff.

As an urbanist, educator, and researcher, Sarah brings an extensive background of programming and curricula development as well as administration, staff development, and training. Well-known within the BAC, she has held many positions including thesis and degree project advisor, instructor, and Gateway program faculty member, to name a few! She was also instrumental in the success of the Urban Design & Urban Planning Pre-college program as its director—launched Summer 2022.

Sarah received a Bachelor of Science from Tufts University; Master of Public Policy, Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University; Master of Design Studies in Sustainable Design from Boston Architectural College; and is currently working on her Doctoral coursework in Educational Studies from Lesley University. She has been recognized with numerous awards and grants as well as presenting at national and international conferences along with authoring several publications.
