Sarah Gillen Redmore, Director of Undergraduate Interior Architecture at Boston Architectural College, has a passion for the reciprocal relationship between people and the built environment. She has a real-world approach to align design education with professional practices, and pursued a diverse academic background in Interior Design (BFA), Psychology (BA) and Business (MBA).
Sarah is also an NCIDQ certificate holder. For the first 16 years of her professional career, Sarah focused on human-centered design strategies for large-scale commercial design projects in corporate, healthcare and educational market segments.
In 2004, she took a position as Assistant Professor at Syracuse University, where she taught in the Environmental + Interior Design program within the College of Visual and Performing Arts. In 2009, she was appointed to the position of Program Coordinator, and is proud to have maintained the program's top 10 national ranking by Design Intelligence. In 2018, Sarah became the Associate Director of Community Engagement at Syracuse University's Shaw Center for Public and Community Service, where she facilitated partnerships between faculty, students and non-profit organizations. The Shaw Center's immersive service learning initiatives focused on global competence and professional practice skill development for all university students. In January 2020, Sarah Redmore began a new chapter of her career at the School of Interior Architecture at Boston Architectural College, and is very excited to be part of this unique educational community.
