Yufan Gao has been teaching at the BAC since 2018. Prior to joining the BAC faculty, Yufan worked closely with the sculptor Nick Cave at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and practiced at Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates and Mikyoung Kim Design. She was awarded a Bachelor of Arts from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a Master in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. In 2021, she co-founded the independent practice, Studio Gao-Byun, which focuses on projects at the intersection of architecture, landscape architecture, and art. Yufan is a licensed landscape architect in Massachusetts.
