Accompany Shepley Bulfinch's archivist, Robert J. Roche, who has dedicated more than four decades to preserving the firm's history. In this exploration, Robert will narrate the evolution of the architectural workplace, drawing from the rich tapestry of the firm's experiences. Delving into the past and present practices, he will illuminate pivotal shifts in how architects operated, intertwining these changes with reflections on showcased projects. The narrative will center on anecdotes of office life, the individuals shaping the architectural landscape, and the swift integration of technology, supplanting age-old traditions.
About Robert J. Roche
Robert is the archivist at Shepley Bulfinch, taking care of 150 years of the firm’s architectural records. For more than 40 years Rob has managed and organized the firm’s physical and digital artifacts. He provides support to researchers, architectural historians, clients looking for historic records, and Shepley Bulfinch project teams. With his longevity at the firm, Rob is the human card catalog of the firm’s history, its people, and projects, ready with a story about any given moment in time or person.
