Gateway Initiative

Since 2008, the Gateway Initiative has provided a platform for students to gain valuable project-based experience, working in instructor-led teams, to offer design-related services to local nonprofits, community organizations, and municipalities on a pro bono basis.

Under the guidance of experienced design professionals serving as adjunct instructors, students work in multi-disciplinary teams to work on real-life challenges for a community client while developing vital technical and interpersonal skills and competencies.
