Your instructors are leaders in the field, some with over 25 years experience in the field, and bring current perspectives on real estate development practice into the classroom, allowing you to study with working professionals and network across the College to advance your career.

Wide-Ranging Curriculum

You’ll be immersed in a curriculum that includes finance, real estate market analysis, simulated deal making, design, sustainability, and community engagement, as well as a breadth of electives available that allow you to build a concentration in allied fields, such as community development, sustainable design, and adaptive reuse of historic properties. The art and science of structuring the financing of a project are presented in modeling exercises that rely on practicing professionals who support the work of the students in real world simulation exercises.

• Prepares you to create and develop real property as entrepreneurs or for organizations 
• Create a project with an entrepreneurial focus and develop a comprehensive proposal that meets the standards of city planning authorities, Zoning Boards of Appeal, and equity and debt financiers
• Undertake practicum and capstone project(s), as well as potential internships and intersections with private and governmental agencies with ties to the program
• Participate in real estate development studio
• Gain direct training in real development decision making while being taught from the owner/developer point of view
