Launched in 2020, BAC Talks convenes alumni and friends, along with leaders in the field, for a series of deep level discussions to promote inclusive and critical thinking.

This two-day annual symposium brings the design community together for in-depth discussions on relevant topics. With this year’s theme, ‘Entrepreneurship and Innovation by Design’, we will be featuring a variety of keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, and intimate conversations.

Tickets will be available soon and priced based on ability to pay. All ticket fees go directly to the BAC Student Scholarship Fund to support our students.

BAC Talks Day 1 will consist of the following virtual programming:

Thursday, April 9 
BAC Talks Day 2 will consist of the following in-person panel discussions with live streaming:

  • Presidential Address: Dr. Mahesh Daas, DPACSA, ACSA Distinguished Professor
  • From Idea to Enterprise: Stories from BAC Innovators
  • Designing for Impact: Social Innovation and Community Entrepreneurship
  • Industry Disruptors: Innovation, Emergent Tech & AI
  • Fueling Innovation: Funding and Partnerships that Drive Change

The BAC seeks dynamic, engaging, and thought provoking speakers to participate in panel discussions for BAC Talks! Additional information on submitting a proposal to be part of this year’s BAC Talks, is available here.

Continuing Education (CEU Credits)

We hope you can join us April 8-10, 2026, for the BAC’s Hive Week where community members worldwide come together for these flagship events, offering a unique opportunity for learning, inspiration, and celebration.

April 8

BAC Talks 2026: Day I – The BAC is hosting a two-day alumni-focused symposium bringing the design community together for in-depth discussions on relevant topics. With this year’s theme, ‘Entrepreneurship and Innovation by Design’, we will be featuring a variety of keynotes, panel discussions, and intimate conversations. (April 8 is virtually only.)
Celebrating Our Champions – All BAC supporters, fundholders, partners, and volunteers are invited to join a reception in gratitude of your partnership, while showcasing our incredible students and future designers.
2026 Alumni and Friends Awards Ceremony – Our community is invited to an annual celebration honoring distinguished alumni and friends for their achievements in the design community.

Community Lunch with President Daas – Gather for conversation and connection before the start of our second day of BAC Talks. Afterward, President Dass will deliver a special Presidential Address exploring the 2026 theme, ‘Entrepreneurship and Innovation by Design’.

Hive Week Happy Hour – Celebrate the close of Hive Week with its focus on learning, listening, engaging, and forging new connections!

Alumni Firm/Project Tours for Students – On April 10, alumni and partners who work or own firms in Boston are invited to host firm tours for our students for an opportunity for continued learning and networking. Stay tuned for more information!
