Launched in 2020, BAC Talks convenes alumni and friends, along with leaders in the field, for a series of deep level discussions to promote inclusive and critical thinking.

This two-day annual symposium brings the design community together for in-depth discussions on relevant topics. With this year’s theme, ‘Entrepreneurship and Innovation by Design’, we will be featuring a variety of keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, and intimate conversations.

Tickets are now available and priced based on ability to pay. All ticket fees go directly to the BAC Student Scholarship Fund to support our students.

Join us the evening of Wednesday, April 8, 2026, following the Celebrating Our Champions reception, to hear BAC Alumna Taniya Nayak featured as the 2026 Hive Week Keynote. Please stay after to celebrate this year's 2026 Alumni and Friends Award winners. Taniya will join President Mahesh Daas for a candid fireside chat reflecting on her professional journey as an entrepreneur, creative process, and perspective on the future of design. The conversation will open to audience questions, creating an opportunity for meaningful dialogue and connection.

April 8

12:00-4:00 PM| BAC Talks 2026: Day I – The BAC is hosting a two-day alumni-focused symposium bringing the design community together for in-depth discussions on relevant topics. With this year’s theme, ‘Entrepreneurship and Innovation by Design’, we will be featuring a variety of keynotes, panel discussions, and intimate conversations. (April 8 is virtually only.)
5:30 PM | 2026 Celebrating Our Champions – All BAC supporters, fundholders, partners, and volunteers are invited to join a reception in gratitude of your partnership, while showcasing our incredible students and future designers.
6:45 PM | 2026 Hive Week Keynote Speaker: Taniya Nayak, MSIA'03 – Internationally recognized designer and television personality Taniya Nayak, Principal of Taniya Nayak Design and a proud BAC alumna, will serve as the Keynote Speaker for 2026 Hive Week.
7:30 PM | 2026 Alumni and Friends Awards Ceremony – Our community is invited to an annual celebration honoring distinguished alumni and friends for their achievements in the design community.

11:30 AM | Presidential Luncheon with Mahesh Daas – Gather for conversation and connection before the start of our second day of BAC Talks. Afterward, President Dass will deliver a presentation titled An Inconvenient Education.
1:00-5:00 PM| BAC Talks 2026: Day IIThe BAC is hosting a two-day alumni-focused symposium bringing the design community together for in-depth discussions on relevant topics.
