Boston Book Festival at the BAC

The Boston Book Festival (BBF) celebrates the power of words to stimulate, agitate, unite, delight, and inspire by holding year-round events culminating in an annual, free Festival that promotes a culture of reading and ideas and enhances the vibrancy of our city.
Join in to celebrate 15 years of the BBF and check out the schedule of events below that will be hosted here at The Boston Architectural College.
Amidst the vibrant BBF, we are excited to celebrate the highly-anticipated release of President Mahesh Daas' latest book, a captivating graphic novella "I, Nobot!" in collaboration with Andrew John Wit, Associate Professor at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University. Using literature and poetry narrated from an AI's viewpoint, this dystopian tale explores the essence of humanity in an era dominated by robots and AI, and conversely, the essence of robots in a post-human world. Central to "I, Nobot!" is the pressing question: will advancing AI eclipse human creativity? The authors dive deep into the debate around AI's emerging role in the creative industries. Should we be wary of AI taking over, or enthusiastic about its possibilities? What does this book reveal about the uniqueness of human creativity? How might AI transform art, architecture, film, and literature in the future? How might AI change our understanding of being human? Join this timely conversation on a topic relevant to us all.
