The Boston Architectural College is pleased to announce its Master of Interior Architecture program was ranked #8 in the United States by DesignIntelligence. The annual report, entitled America's Best Architecture & Design Schools, ranks undergraduate and graduate programs from the perspective of leading practitioners. This year, the BAC made the top 10 list of best graduate programs in interior design.

The list highlights the schools that best prepare students for a future in the profession and designing a sustainable future.

"Interior Architecture is the design of human experience," said Crandon Gustafson, Dean of the School of Interior Architecture. "Good design makes health and well-being a priority, and achieves its aims sustainably in balance with nature. We ask our students to base their decisions on a proven body of knowledge, and to draw and apply ideas taken from their own practical experience."

The BAC's Master of Interior Architecture degree is a first-professional program for holders of non-design undergraduate degrees. Students begin by acquiring basic design and drawing skills, and continue to create design solutions of increasing complexity, as they add technical and theoretical understanding to their studio work. The program culminates in a guided, independent thesis project.
