The Boston Architectural College is pleased to celebrate Leslie-jon Vickory an Instructor in the Professional & Continuing Education Kitchen and Bath Design Certificate Program, currently teaching construction applications. Boston Magazine has named Leslie-jon as Best of Boston 2011: Kitchen Design. "My heartfelt thanks to Boston Magazine for naming me in their issue of "Best of Boston 2011" for Kitchen Design! I have worked with so many talented people over the years--builders, architects, tradesmen and product specialists--every day I learn something new. And, as always, the enthusiasm and faith of my clients continues to inspire my love of design and dedication to the craft. Indeed, I am very fortunate!" says Vickory.

Over the past two years, her work and studies have focused on Classical Architecture and European product and furniture design. Leslie-jon traveled to France to meet with the designers and craftsmen of furniture, draperies, custom doors and windows, and custom millwork, culminating in the installation of finishes and custom designed and crafted furnishings from Paris and the Franche-Comté region of France for the interiors of a new home in Virginia. In Fall 2011, Leslie-jon will introduce a new course, A Place for Everything: Cabinetry Design Throughout the Home Studio, which will teach students how to combine creative, beautiful design solutions with functional needs.
