BAC alumnus Christine Dunn, B.Arch '97, has been named principal at Sasaki Associates, a firm based in Watertown, Massachusetts that practices architecture, interior design, planning, urban design, landscape architecture, graphic design, and civil engineering as well as financial planning and software development. Christine has been at Sasaki for 10 years, leading a broad range of architecture, planning, and interior design projects.

"The BAC allowed me to pursue a professional career in architecture that I otherwise would not have been able to afford," Christine explained. "It offered me a window into a much bigger world and helped me build the skills, courage and personal grit needed to explore and find my place in that world."

At Sasaki, Christine's focus is cultivating the firm's built practice in the commercial and urban markets. Her primary source of design inspiration over the course of her career has been her interest and involvement in the visual arts. This passion for the visual arts has led her to build a creative career that seeks to merge architecture, art, and design.

"Sasaki has been a wonderful place for me to craft and grow a design career that is unique to my interests and aspirations," Christine said. "I am excited to help lead the effort in ensuring these opportunities are encouraged and available for present and future Sasaki employees. The diversity of our people and our practice is what makes us great!"

Christine believes that all the design professions require a deep passion, dedication, and hard work to succeed. She encourages students interested in joining the design world to work at strengthening their character and staying true to their dreams while still leaving room to meander off the path to be challenged by new contexts.

Christine holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College and a Master of Architecture from Cranbrook Academy of Art. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects,The Boston Society of Architects, and CREW Network.
