Introduction to Urban Design Certificate
Introduction to Urban Design Certificate
Urban designers shape cities by collaborating with communities to create connected, meaningful places that reflect local identities. Their work influences not just the built environment, but also the cultural, economic, social, and ecological health of cities. This certificate program introduces students to the core principles of urban design, including city form and structure, the scale and function of urban spaces, community engagement, design methods, and the broader contexts—social, political, and environmental—that shape urban development.
