Brian is a founding partner of Anderson Porter Design. He began his career in Vienna, Austria perfecting German, working in design ateliers, performing acting roles at a local theater in the evenings and drinking a lot of coffee.

Brian's professional career is focused on finding and creating opportunities for innovation. He believes that unique, project specific innovations in design, technology, sustainability and even funding are only achieved through a collaborative process. Brian works with individuals and organizations to create a strategic alignment of stakeholder value, design thinking and project delivery methods.

Brian is a consultant and frequent speaker on the application of lean in design and a co-founder of the Lean Community of Practice in New England. He has chaired the Honors and Awards committee at the BAC since 2002 and has been a member since 1996. He is a frequent juror on design reviews at RISD, Harvard, Roger Williams University and the Boston Architectural College. He is a registered architect in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, a member of the BSA, AIA, and NCARB.

Brian received his BFA and Bachelor of Architecture from the RISD. He earned his Master of Architecture from Harvard.
