Scott Richardson, AIA, LEED AP, is a member of the Board of Trustees at The Boston Architectural College. Scott is principal and vice president of Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects (GRLA), the firm he co-founded in 1976. GRLA provides architecture, planning, interior design, and building envelope consulting services to a variety of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to local not-for-profits. Scott spearheads the firm's sustainability efforts, striving to incorporate environmentally responsible strategies into every phase of design. He has served as Principal-in-Charge on all of the firm's LEED-certified projects, and is currently overseeing GRLA's participation in the AIA 2030 Commitment.

A recent project highlight for Scott and GRLA is the new Subaru of New England corporate headquarters in Norwood, a 165,000 SF facility featuring offices, a warehouse, and training center. The project has been certified LEED Platinum by the USGBC, and--at 86 points--is tied for fourth among the highest rated LEED NC v2009 projects in the United States! Scott is proud to be a part of this innovative project, which showcases how sustainable design can directly impact corporate culture.

In addition to his work as an architect, Scott is active in the community. He currently serves as President of the Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Hopkinton Zoning Advisory Committee, the Hopkinton Public Library Foundation, and the United Way of Tri-County. Scott received his B.Arch from the Boston Architectural College in 1980.
