Susan Lewis

Susan Lewis is the Library Director at the Boston Architectural College where she is responsible for the Shaw and Stone Library, which includes the Visual Resources Library; the historic Memorial Library; and the Archives. Her specific professional interests are collection development, information literacy, and preservation and conservation of Library materials.

She is a published author and is a past president of the New England chapter of the Art Libraries Society of North America and the Massachusetts Committee for the Preservation of Architectural Records. She has chaired several ARLIS/NA committees on information literacy and architectural school accreditation. Susan has also consulted with other architectural libraries regarding the development of their collections. She has received awards from the library profession and from the BAC. In 2012, while Ms. Lewis was Director, the BAC Library was judged to have met the conditions of NAAB accreditation "with merit."

Ms. Lewis received a BA with honors in English from Wittenberg University and an MLS from the Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science.
